Dates and Content – Session by Session- What happens 

Session – One    Sean Smith – Monday 8th July  6.30pm – 9.30pm

Over Two Sessions, the story will be created and the casting launched.
There is twice the time on the Advanced Course. 

• Create the Story for the Advanced Course Movie
• This is similar to the 4 Month Film Course creation Session
• The Only difference is that there is more details and more say with only six people involved
• Sean Smith will help moderate and direct the story to the very best

Session Two Sean Smith  Thursday 11^thJuly

6.30pm – 9.30pm   

• More on the Story creation
• Finalise the structure and the scene summaries for the story
• 4pm Set up the Casting for the Advanced Course Film.
• This time, AFB will pay for the top notch place and advert on Star Now
• 5pm Saturday Social to discuss the first week.

Session Three  Thursday 18th July –  Shape the Production 

6.30pm – 9.30pm

• Examine The best Script and make it great
• The importance of great Art Department- How it is done
• Delegate at least two people to take care of. Everyone contributes
• $500 Budget to spend on Props and Set Dressing, costumes
• Finalise Casting for the Casting Day
• Work out the Crew Rotations –  Two Rotations Per Day
• The Mindset to the get the very best from your shoot.

Session Six  Casting Thursday Night  August 1st – 6pm  – 10pm   

• Like on the 4 Month Course, you will see multiple actors over 4 hours
• From this you will get the Short List of actors
• Call Backs explained. On the advanced you will call back a short list of actors for one more session
• Social lunch at own expense

Session Seven Ready Steady Go Saturday 3rd August – 10am – 3pm Casting Call backs –  You will see the very best actors from the first session

• Plan Shot Lists and Blocking Plans
• Rehearsals of Actors successful
• All Final Preparations

Shoot Day One Saturday  10th Of August 8am – 6pm

• Shoot on location a very high quality film that you will be proud to be Director of.
• Everyone gets the Director Credit.
• Direct for 5 hours on one of the days.
• Two Rotations per Day

Shot Day Two  Saturday 17th August   8am – 6pm

• Shoot on location a very high quality film that you will be proud to be Director of.
• Everyone gets the Director Credit.
• Direct for 5 hours on one of the days.
• Two Rotations per Day

Shoot Day Three Sunday  18th August 8am – 6pm

• Shoot on location a very high quality film that you will be proud to be Director of.
• Everyone gets the Director Credit.
• Direct for 5 hours on one of the days.
• Two Rotations per Day

Postproduction Thursdays – The Edit , The Soundmix, Colouring

Thursday 12th September  _ Edit Session One 

• Set up the Edit Plan for the Film .
• Take the 4 Week Challenge and edit the whole film
• If you need to hire, expert edit advise, one on one sessions, please email Sean for hourly bookings.

Thursday 26th September  Edit Session Two 

• Review the Edits and get set for one to be the chosen one.
• Finalising the Fine Cut.
• You can hire expert one on one advise off Sean Smith, if required

Saturday 5th  October Sound Post Production with John Hresc 
10 am – 4pm 

Special Note. This session takes place in Sydney, on a15 minute train ride from the Airport. You can fly up and back in one day and very cheaply on Jetstar. This is a voluntary session and it is entirely up to you. 
It is well worth the trip

On the Advanced Course, you learn all about advanced Sound Post. 

• Sound Design and SFX
• Music and mixing it.
• How sound post dramatically improves your film.

Thursday October 10th   6.30pm – 9.30pm

This is exactly what Colm O’Murchu does, when creating a long form screenplay.

• Writing the Long Form Screenplay  — 90 – 100 Pages
• Step One –  The Premise
• Step Two  –  The Flesh Out.
• Step Three – The Characters
• Step Four –   The Plan – The Most Important Part-  How to do this. 
• Step Five  – Your Brainstorm – Critique and Study the Story Events
• Step Six  –   Write the Screenplay 3 Pages Per day – 5 Days a Week

By the end of the session, you will have learnt a way to make a 100 page screenplay happen now.

Take on the challenge, if you want to. Write a full length screenplay over the next two months
